SLEEP IS VERY OFTEN AFFECTED BY PERIODS OF STRESS AND BURNOUT.
How often have you brought work home to finish and worked straight thru to bedtime? Or just got sucked into a few more emails just before bedtime. Despite feeling exhausted, you lay there awake for hours, ruminating about work and whatever else.
Not giving yourself a period to unwind could very well be one of the reasons for poor sleep.
Creating a healthy evening routine – ideally without screens for at least one hour before your bedtime – can help with your sleep quality.
Do things you love and that calm you.
Things You Can Do To Relax at Night:
A hot bath
Yin yoga
Gentle stretches
Soothing music
Reading a book
Once you get some better sleep, that routine becomes a cherished ritual!
